Eleganto – Frightening Beasts EP (Vibrancy)

March 10, 2021 by HRVST

Back once again with a fist full of heaters, right on the heels of Exhibits Volume 1, Vibrancy delivers non stop dance floor smashers from Eleganto. Eleganto’s had features on Dr. Fresch’s Caller ID, Moksi’s UNCLASSIFIED Radio #043 mix and dropped a flip of Technologic for free on Soundcloud via ToneDen. With Frightening Beasts, he is consistently delivering heavy hitting basslines and solid grooves, the influence from the Spain breaks scene can definitely be felt. Guttural growls tinge each track ensuring that your stank face never dissipates.

The EP starts off with the title track emanating some analog creep, and the tension builds up with some metallic rave stabs before it drops into a bass fueled groove with saturated growls. The ear candy accents carry the track through to the breakdown where we get another dose of tension into a drop with a mad cow dieseased cowbell groove that step’s the track up another level.

‘Voltage Control’, probably my favorite off of the EP, starts off with a standard house groove and then this thick layer of bass harmonics kicks in and you already know that this is gonna slap. The build up into the throwback rave stab accented kick/bass drop into real groove drop is a nice flex. Everything about this tune knocks and will keep the dance floor grooving even during the break. You can download Voltage Control for free on the Vibrancy Soundcloud.

‘Monster Beat’ is exactly that, a monster beat. The synth work and vocals work together flawlessly and will eat up the dance floor like its name was Cookie. While it sounds as if there’s a lot happening the track stays interesting through out but never really feeling like there’s too much or that it’s overwhelming.

‘Let Me Go’ starts off with the groove and bassline already hitting leading into an epic build up that has the blissful arpeggio’s, beautiful chords, and a steady breakbeat that leads into a stank face smasher, again showcasing a guttural bassline that I associate with Spanish breaks, but sound equally at home with some high octane tech house.

The final track on the release was the lead single on Vibrancy’s Exhibit’s Volume 1 and flexes all the above points in one track.

Eleganto – Frightening Beasts EP will be released on March 26th at all retailers and streaming platforms. Follow Eleganto and Vibrancy on Soundcloud below.
